It is said that when some people sleep part of them slips away and in the morning they have no recollection of what the part did.  The Mara and Varulv are related creatures in Scandinavian folklore. So how do Scandinavian concepts of the soul, views on supernatural interactions and gender come together to make these creature of the night?  
 
This presentation will look at folklore collected from across Scandinavia about these two related night stalkers.

John Magnuson is a folk magic practitioner living in southern New Hampshire. John is an avid gardener of food, herbs, mushrooms, and native plants. John has a passion for textile and fiber arts and how to integrate them into a magical practice.
