About the event
When the average person hears the word “elves”, they often think of tiny helpers in Santa’s workshop or those that live in trees, making cookies. This presentation will explore who, and what, exactly the Elves are; where their skills and interests lie; how the myths give us clues as to what is expected of humans when it comes to their interactions with the Álfar; and how they are viewed, approached, & avoided in various parts of Scandinavia & Iceland - including via the lens of the Norse folk magic & sorcery of Trolldom.
