This is a 90-minute experienced level lecture, located in The Library (lower level)


How can something as sweet and as innocent as a babe become a dreadful sight upon a stormy night? The child, not having had its first milk, still cries in hunger from the depths of its grave.


In cemetery work, the child's spirit is one that is often worked for love and reconciliation, as much as it is worked for ill. This is because -- despite its association with innocence -- obsession, nagging, and pestering are the true mechanisms through which it operates. These spirits are easy to convince, and will work for any cause, at fault of knowing no better. A child who has not lived long enough to suckle, however, becomes a bloodthirsty spirit, with a hollow pit in place of stomach.
