The Time Traveller's Herbal: An Invitation to Step into the World of the Historical Storytellers Apothecary Shop

This is a 90-minute intermediate level lecture.

Author and herbal storyteller Amanda Edmiston (Botanica Fabula) invites the audience into her world of folklore, legend, fairy tale, history and hearsay to discover the way plants have whispered to us across the centuries. This lecture is in part a biographical journey from someone whose practice has been handed down through generations, blended seamlessly with fairy-tales and historical notes which invite the listener to try out some of the recipes in Amanda's books: recipes to help see the faeries and to promote healthy hair sit side by side with legendary devils, tales of Scottish witch trials and pioneering outspoken women.
