About the event

This is a 120-minute foundational through experienced level lecture.

In many Western magical traditions, necromantic work is structured through explicit invocation, hierarchy, clearly defined roles, and visible ritual action. Daoist approaches to Yin operate through a different logic.

Within Daoist cosmology, Yin governs negative space, residue, enclosure, delay, and descent. Necromantic influence emerges through ancestral momentum, lingering presence, altered timing, and the accumulation of what remains after events have passed. Yin maintains continuity between the living and the dead through resonance, concealment, and cycles of return, allowing contact to unfold without coercion or display.

This class examines Yin as a governing function and explores how necromantic influence moves through thresholds, intervals, and interior domains. Practical focus is given to how Yin-informed approaches reshape spell structure, ancestor engagement, and resistance work, particularly for practitioners trained in direct invocation or assertion. Participants will learn when withdrawal, delay, and enclosure create greater effectiveness…
